Brendan Clarke joins Sligo Rovers

Goakeeper Brendan Clarke has today signed for Sligo Rovers.

After having his contract cancelled by the now defunct Sporting Fingal, Clarke arrived in Sligo a few days later to train with the club and played against Castlebar Celtic in last Saturdays friendly.

Clarke also played for St. Patricks's Athletic and will be challenging Cup hero Ciaran Kelly for the number one jersey this season,

Clarke's signature makes him the 19th confirmed player for Rovers, and unless Romauld Boco decides to sign a new contract, it is expected that this will be the squad for 2011.
