Horgan joined Sligo Rovers in February from Salthill Devon and has shown a lot of promise, making several appearances and has scored 3 goals in all competitions.

Paul Cook spoke to sligorovers.com about the move and see's it as a fantastic opportunity for the young winger: ""Daryl has done very well since he came the club. This move will be of great benefit to him and I'm sure he'll relish the opportunity”, Cook said. “He is on a contract with us until the end of 2012 so he'll come back to The Showgrounds with more games under his belt and more experience."

Cork City manager Tommy Dunne also spoke about his new arrival: “Daryl is a player we have been looking at for a while. He did well for Salthill last season and he impressed me any time I saw him. I spoke to him prior to the season with a view to signing him at that point, but he opted to sign for Sligo."

In other news, 'A' Team assistant Manager Darren Hurd has left the club to become manager of Maor Rangers junior side in the Sligo-Leitrim & District Junior Soccer.

On the Transfer Rumours front, Romauld Boco has been strongly linked with a return to Sligo Rovers. With Horgan away on loan, some may see this as move to also bring Rommy back who played as a right winger last season. This would be his third spell with the club, but he could be a major factor in a potential treble winning season as he will always give 100% out on the pitch.

Former Bohemians' left-back Conor Powell has also been strongly linked with a move. Conor has been without a club since being released by nPower League 1 side Colchester United recently. It may suggest Iarfhliath Davoren is out with a long term injury, but the full extent of his injury isn't known as of yet. Cook himself even spoke of the move in the Irish Independent: He's a good lad who had a successful career over here and he fits the criteria we'd be looking for, Whether Conor wants to do it is down to him. "

"We'd love to have a look at that situation with Conor, he's certainly a terrific player, he gets very well spoken about from

everyone you speak to about him, but it's down to Conor."

Thebitoredblog would like to wish Daryl Horgan and Darren Hurd the very best with their new clubs.
