Full team available for tonight

Manager Paul Cook has a full team at his disposal to choose from for tonight's opening encounter with Derry City.

It is expected that the manager will stick with the same team that defeated Galway in a friendly on Saturday, with the possible inclusion of Joseph Ndo and Rafael Cretaro in the starting line-up.

We'll see Rovers turning out in an unfamiliar blue kit this evening, this is to avoid a similar jersey fiasco at St. Pats Athletic on opening day in 2008.

Manager Paul Cook is looking forward to getting back into action again, but has pointed out the challenge at hand as Derry City have strengthened their team: "Derry are a very good side. They have the young lad Patrick McEleney, Eamon Zayed, Gareth McGlynn and Ruadhri Higgins who are all quality players."

As you'd expect, he also intends on changing the team around in the first few fixtures:"We want to be competitive this season. For the first few games there could be some changes in the team and the players will take time to find their feet."
