John Russell latest player to re-sign for 2011

Midfielder John Russell has today signed a new contract for the upcoming season.

The 25-year-old is the latest player to re-sign for the club after the success of 2010. Russell joined the club in May last year from Galway United, and his addition proved to be the final piece of the jigsaw in midfield as, along with Richie Ryan and Joseph Ndo, the midfield trio terrorized any defence who stood in their way.

Russell was an integral part of Rovers Cup double winning squad, and will no doubt be an important part of Paul Cook's plans for next season.

Russell is the 12th player to sign for next season.
