Capable of playing on the wing or up front, the former Summerhill College student has made an impression for Rovers after his swift rise from the U-18's to the senior team. Having made his way into the 1st team last season, making a few sub appearances, Mark scored his first ever senior goal for Rovers in a 3-0 FAI Cup victory over Monaghan United, he was only a minute on the pitch after coming on for Matthew Blinkhorn.

McGoldrick has enjoyed a good pre-season as well, scoring twice at the weekend against Castlebar Celtic and setting up Alan Keane's goal against Finn Harps, and will hope to carry that form into the season ahead and may bring an end to recent rumours about a possible move to Harps on loan for next season.
