Manager Paul Cook was named SWAI Personality of the Year last night.Cook last year led Rovers to an EA Sports and FAI Ford Cup double success, the first season he won a competition with the club, making up for the previous year having fallen at the final hurdle against Sporting Fingal in the FAI Cup Final, and missing out on an EA Sports Cup Final appearance and the hands of Bohemians in the semi-final at Dalymount Park.

He faced competition from Shamrock Rovers' manager Michael O' Neill, Bray Wanderers' manager Pat Devlin, Shamrock Rovers striker Gary Twigg and even two of his own players, midfielders Joseph Ndo and PFAI Player of the Year Richie Ryan on the night. Since his nomination had been announced, many agreed that Cook would be a deserving winner of this award. Despite his Cup heroics, Ciaran Kelly missed out on Goalkeeper of the Year, with losing finalist Alan Mannus picking up the award.
